Who am I?
Hello, I'm Sam and this is my little business based in Calne, Wiltshire.
I have many years experience with dogs, cats, fish, small furries as well as reptiles and invertebrates. Animals have always been a passion of mine. Since I was young I've always loved animals — both learning about and taking care of them. I had my first dog walk job at the age of 14 with a police dog in training... that was certainly a jump in the deep end, but I loved it!
I continually try to increase my knowledge on canine behaviour and training to help the dogs I look after or walk and their owners. I have been studying professional courses since 2014 with various education providers relevant to the pet industry.
I am a Kids Around Dogs Approved Professional which allows me to teach children how to be safe around dogs. As well as private sessions, I can also teach children in school and for other child based group settings. I am also licensed to help children and adults overcome their fear of dogs.
I am a qualified Canine Hoopers World Instructor, offering low impact fun and agility suitable for dogs of all ages and breeds.
I am a licenced canine body language instructor and approved and certified trainer for The Dog Training College, also trained to work with reactive and rescue dogs, specialising with Romanian rescues and have done many certified accredited courses and always training which is constantly improving and updating my knowledge, both in theory and practically.
I do not believe in the cheap courses you get flash up on social media or multi industry online certificate providers. They look the part but they don't offer proper training to benefit your pet, you as an owner and they certainly don't benefit me on a professional level... your pet deserves better!
I am a home-checker for various international rescues via the main national home-checking networks as well as a behavioural assessor for dogs moving into a rescue setting.
Fully insured, canine first aid trained, COVID-19 trained and DBS checked.
